Action research is how one continually reflects on their methods and processes; and inquires of others about their methods and results. It is a never ending search for ways to improve the processes and procedures that they use to achieve their goals. Just as one must search their soul to find what their real desires and goals are in their personal life; one must search their enviroment for the best ways to achieve their desires and goals for their success at work. It is not like a one week vacation to the coast just to see the waves crashing on to the shore one time. It is more like a life long goal of going to the beach at least once a week. If you are lucky enough to live by the beach; you might be able to swing by for and hour or so every day. If you happen to be a principal; you might want to set aside an hour a day or a week to journey through the process of action research. This will require you looking over data and deciding what methods are working and which are not. You will then have to remember to stop off at the beach regularly to see how high the waves are as you work your way through the journey of action research.
Love your picture and your words! This is really going to be alot of work but I can already see how fulfilling it is going to be!
